Five letters pertaining to church affairs in Winslow: The first two items are letters from David Shepley concerning his resignations as pastor of the Congregational Church (1858). The third is a letter to Timothy O. Paine telling him of his excommunication from the church (Nov. 1845). The fourth is a refusal of John Perham to become minister of the Congregational Church (Aug. 1843). The fifth is a letter from Sam Powers, a poor debtor, to Lemuel Paine, written from Augusta Prison (1810).
